With over 40 years on stage and in the studio, I bring a lifetime of musical experience to every lesson. Whether I’m performing with my band Hands Off at local Auckland venues or touring nationally with artists like Greg Johnson, my life is dedicated to the groove.
I’m a firm believer in learning fundamentals and am an advocate for understanding music theory and its practical application on the Bass, but my lessons also go beyond just scales and notes. I focus on the "real world" skills every bass player needs: solid timing, creating a great tone, and understanding how to lock in with a drummer. From beginners picking up their first 4-string to advanced players looking to master the 5-string "low B," I provide personalised coaching tailored to your goals.
